On September 30, 2015, Swedish Environmental Days were opened in Georgia under the slogan Facing the Climate, the Europe House in Tbilisi hosted the exhibition. Swedish Environmental Days is jointly organized by Swedish Embassy in Georgia and European House in Tbilisi in partnership with Swedish Institute.
At the opening of exhibition works of 5 Swedish cartoonists and caricaturists were presented to address global environmental problems with the attitude “taking something serious does not necessary mean viewing it without humor”.
EcoVision was invited and participated in the opening of exhibition and presented numerous publications developed and published within the SPARE program. Publications were developed for various age-group children including pre-school kids. Environmental protection, energy saving, energy efficiency, and waste management issues are successfully being addressed by EcoVison through raising awareness by various literature genre: stories, tales, poems, including quiz, comics and desk games. EcoVision stand with its publications deserved high interest of exhibition visitors.
A two-week program of Swedish Environmental Days consists of various events: opening exhibition on 30 September, a clean up event on 3 October in Mtskheta, a panel-discussion Sustainability in business – Swedish and Georgian Solutions on 9 October. EcoVision will be involved again on 13 October with large scale school educational entertainment program promoting environmental protection through quiz completions, karaoke of promo eco-songs and master classes in trash art.
